What is Cefazolin Sodium?

Molecular Formula: C14H13N8NaO4S3
Molecular Weight:476.50

Cefazolin Sodium is the sodium alkali of cefazolin, a beta-lactam antibacterial and first-generation cephalosporin with antibacterial activity. Cefazolin binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBP) amid on the close film of the bacterial corpuscle wall. Inactivation of PBPs interferes with the cross-linkage of peptidoglycan chains all-important for bacterial corpuscle bank backbone and rigidity, which after-effects in the abrasion of the bacterial corpuscle bank and corpuscle lysis.
